Proudly continuing the great tradition of illiteratenessism, Rick Perry (TX Gov.)
... said yesterday (I heard this on NPR) that one and a half million people could potentially be killed by Ike if they don't evacuate. While that's serious as hell, what was utterly stupid was that for the rest of his talk, he never said 'million' again, and kept saying 'I'm talking about one and a half people', which made him sound like a ... wait a minute, he IS a complete idiot! :^)

2. All the hairspray he uses has dissolved his brain.
He's an aggie, too, so he started with an intellectual deficit.

10. urk. Sorry. I missed the Great Texas Connection there.
Hate it, hate it when people misunderestimate my witty jetes of language manipulation -- sorry to do that to you!

I think of The Precedent as The Kennebunkport Kowboy, Kamping Out In Krawford, so I fail to think of * as a Texan at all -- somehow the phony accent has never drawn me in.

11. He did pick up the accent here, and I think mostly grew up here, but yeah, he's
really played down the Maine (not to mention CT) thing. But he's a dickhead no matter where he's from. :^) And so is Perry.
