3. Yes. Surfside is underwater, Kema (spelling?) going as well
and this is just the beginning of the surge. I still can't believe the officials told those to "hunker down" who didn't want to leave! This is going to be bad.

whats amazing is that the surge hasnt even hit yet...just wind causing these massive waves and flooding...and the waves height are 19 feet now and still , the main surge hasnt hit yet and there isnt any rain yet...so this looks like, by the middle of tonight, is going to be really really terrible. people are finally leaving, they say, the ones who thought they could sit this out.

6. Flooding news:
Local reports have SH 87 between Sabine Pass and Port Arthur is impassable. The same reported for 87 between High Island and the Galveston ferry. The water is 8 inches deep over SH 124 17 miles South of Winnie.

7. just heard a meteoroligist on live feed say
"if you think the flooding is bad now, just wait til 8-9 pm tonight..this is nothing compared to what we are about to see.."
