Poll question: How many McCain Bumperstickers are you Seeing?
Maybe it's too early for this to be an issue, but I am not seeing very many. I saw one on Tuesday and was struck by how it was the first one I had seen.

30. It's the same here really, you asked about McCain
bumper stickers. I have seen a lot more Obama bumper stickers than McCain. Yard signs on the other hand McCains out number Obama's probably 10-1. I can only think of one Obama yard sign near me. In my area it is so conservative or racist I would not put an Obama sign in my yard. The area votes 2-1 Democrat but I don't if many can be convinced to vote for a black man.

43. I have one friend who has an Obama yard sign, but he hides it.
You can't see it from the street - it's turned edge-on behind a hedge up by the front door. You can't even see it from the driveway. You can only see it if you actually stand right at the front door.

If you are going to hide your yard sign so thoroughly, why have one?

60. You can't throw a dead moose where I live without it hitting a McCain yard sign.
Very discouraging.

And I know a lot of these people don't like the war and think the economy sucks. So, I guess they think the solution is to keep on the same course.

Oh, but there's the abortion issue. That's it! McCain/Palin will overturn Roe v. Wade.

Just like Bush did.

In terms of popular vote, this might be a close election, but in terms of electoral votes, I think Obama is looking very good.

23. I've seen few Bumperstickers for either candidate
Edited on Fri Sep-12-08 11:21 AM by OmahaBlueDog
On most days, if I see one for either, it's typical. Note that I drive a lot, and I'm on I-80 and I-29 (where I see out of state veicles) quite a bit.

The other day, I was in Lincon, NE and I saw 1 McSame yard sign (amidst a group of GOP candidates), but 5-6 Obama bumperstickers. It was the most I'd seen on any single day for any candidate.

Most yard signs I'm seeing are for congressional races, not the presidency.

I try to avoid political discussion with my neighbors.I know the folks across the street from me are apolitical and aren't planning to vote. There are two older couples on my cul-de-sac are voting for McSame, and cite taxes asthe reason (note: at leat one thinks Bush is a moron).I have not seen one political yard sign in my neighborhood.

I think I've seen one or two. Definitely LOTS of Obama stickers. Not as many Obama/Biden stickers yet. Mostly I think it's just that folks around here latched onto him during the primaries.

edit: Still see quite a few "W" stickers (unbelieveably) but they universally do not have a corresponding McCain sticker.

... (Colorado Springs), McCain stickers are still very rare.

He was here speaking incoherently in an aircraft hangar last week, and there has been no local 'bounce' for him whatsoever - despite the relentless efforts of the local Moonie newspaper.

Obama stickers and signs are everywhere, so maybe even redder-than-red El Paso County is up for grabs this year. Wouldn't that be cool?

41. I've seen a handful (maybe 4 McCain stickers this summer), and tons of Obama.
ANd i"ve been driving from Malibu to Monterey, and lots of red pocket areas in between. The only McCain signs I've seen were on a ranch or two, and one of the shittiest houses in Carmel that used an american flag for a curtain in their garage. Other than one or two pick up trucks with McCain stickers (with old white men driving), I haven't seen much.

Now OBAMA??? Hundreds of them.. lots of signs, too.

I wish someone would make Obama flags for those houses where we fly cute flags on the front porch, like people do with football teams they like. That'd be a big seller.

they're On the Right Side (ha ha - literally and figuratively - from the Repuke viewpoint). That's the sad & pathetic thing about conservatives, and this describes some of my own family - and the irony is huge, because OUR side is the better one, right? - but they won't vote for a Dem NO MATTER WHAT, so even if they're not happy w/their candidates, they'll rubber-stamp 'em.

70. I'm the bluest "state" of all, suckas
I live in the District of Columbia. Who else can say they voted at least 90 percent for the Democratic candidate in 2000 and 2004? If I don't go into Virginia except for my job (and I work very near the river), I may manage to avoid seeing one until Election Day unless some conservative sucka mofo is driving through DC. I was in the Orlando area for about a week, and I think I only saw one or two McLame bumper stickers.

There was a street festival in my area today, and a handful of booths were selling Obama gear. I got myself an Obama/Biden pin for my purse. The guy asked me about Scary Palin--guess 'cause I'm female--and I made clear just how much I dislike her. Then I directed him to the Funny or Die video and to this site.

72. None - and I live in Arizona!
I've seen a couple of anti-Obama stickers, but zero McCain. I also still see a few Ron Paul stickers.

75. I've seen one,
in the little rural town I work in, about 14 miles to the north.

I've seen one Obama sticker in the small city 14 miles to the south.

I saw an HRC sticker left over from the primaries in the grocery store parking lot this weekend. I never saw any during the primaries, lol.

That's the total.
