That is the reason Bush says he is a Christian. His life has been a disaster for the first fifty years and a big lie in the other years - in my opinion. God does not let any of us know who is going to Heaven and I cannot judge that - but I think that Bush does not act like a Christian.

I used to make files of the BIG MONEY that Bush gave to CERTAIN CHURCHES - not all churches got it - and I always felt it was payoffs or vote buying. There was a small black church in Louisiana that got a million dollars. Fort Bend Independent School Dist got either $251,000 or $351,000. I don't know if it was for abstinence or not, but the Seventh Day Adventist Church got $12 million over the years. It is a disgrace. This year Bill Bennett - the super Christian who likes to gamble - his wife was given over a MILLION Dollars. I can't remember if it was for abstinence or buying votes though.

I have always said that if a CHURCH took Hundreds of Thousands of dollars or even millions of dollars to teach abstinence - that the church was telling us just what they were - moneychangers. Churches have buildings, conditioned air in the buildings, everything they need to teach abstinence. There are people who go to bed hungry; people who have CANCER without medicine - and I have no respect for any Church that takes BIG MONEY to teach abstinence.
