:wtf:

I just read this story http://money.cnn.com/2008/09/12/news/economy/gas_prices/index.htm?cnn=yes
which says that gas has jumped "as much as 20 cents at some stations" and it claims that gas is above $4 only in Alaska and Hawaii.

Uhh... I'm clearly not in Alaska or Hawaii, plus it's up way more than "up to 20 cents". What the fuck is going on??

4. I Spoke to a Co-worker in Owensboro who told me

that gas had gone up $1 overnight...I am in Lexington and haven't seen the prices here yet but SE Ky is not the only area...Owensboro is in Western KY along the Ohio. The state regulators were investigating a $0.30 rise in prices this week in the Louisville and Lexington area for gouging...wonder if a $1.00 rise will get their attention.

in my town (Illinois), from $3.53 to $4.25. And I hear down south of us its well over $5 a gallon now.

I called our Attorney General and the Governor - they did nothing, promised to do nothing.
