Has anyone heard from SwampRat?

In case you don't know, he lives in NOLA. I haven't seen a post-Gustav post from him and I'm worried. Perhaps I've missed one. I really appreciate his posts, his mind, his unique artistic vision. DU just wouldn't be the same without him.

So paging Swampy or someone who can verfiy that he is alright.

18. What's really strange is that there is barely any reports coming out of

New Orleans and Louisiana... Is it gone? what happened.. and where are the reporters this time.. this present hurricane is effecting that area.. what happened?

31. Word from one of our CEs is that NOLA wasn't hit as bad as Baton Rouge.

Then again, he's from Baton Rouge.

He said he drove into NOLA and that most of the city still had power the morning after Gustav, but most of Baton Rouge didn't.

This morning I spoke to him, had to wake him up to send him down to Houma, Louisiana to try to get some of our equipment back up. He'd been down there yesterday and left when power kept fluctuating at the site, drove back home to Baton Rouge in TS-force winds, saying his van was almost going off of the road from the wind.

I feel really sorry for the guy. He deserves a raise.
