This library holds censorship to be a purely individual matter and declares that – while anyone is free to reject for himself books and other materials of which he does not approve – he cannot exercise this right of censorship to restrict the freedom of others.

1986
Angel Dust Blues by Todd Strasse
Creation of “Young Adult” section in library and placement of item in section

1986
Bumps in the Night by Harvey Allard

Palin served two terms as mayor of Wasilla from 1996 to 2002, so it would appear that she was after getting the Newman book banned.

11. .gov is mainly for federal. Local govts. are not always consistent about it.
For example, a lot of California state websites are ____.ca.us. It's possible they mistakenly adopted a .com domain in the early days of the web and just ended up sticking with it.

14. Gotcha. I was curious because I'm alway leary of taking bait in traps
designed specifically to throw us curves. I was under the impression that all used .gov. Thanks for the clarification.

5. She had lustful thoughts over the naked Scalia.
She had to remove the temptation.

I read "she was after getting the book banned" in the sense of "she was mayor after getting the book banned" when I see you meant it in the sense of "the book she was after."

10. These are books that library patrons wanted banned.
Not Palin.

From the linked document:
"Our records indicate the following actions requested by library patrons:"

I'm referring to books which have been challenged--and Jon Stewart's book being one of those books.

The only book which was being challenged while Mooselini was mayor was the Newman book; being that she was inquiring about how to go about banning books, and being that the book is about a girl having two lesbians for mothers, and being that Mooselini's religious beliefs are intolerant to this notion and being that she seems to have an inability to seperate religion beliefs from the governance, it would appear that that book was the one in question. Please read for comprehension.
