He acknowledged that Palin said that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac was part of the government, which wasn't true at the time.

Was he saying that Palin was anticipating the government take-over and therefore what she said was true? She intuited what would happen in the future? If that's what he was saying, it was more ridiculous than Cindy McCain saying that Palin knows about foreign affairs because Alaska is geographically next to Russia.

The Alaska state legislature approved a license that Palin signed. There's no contract, no committment, no money for the pipeline. The private company TransCanada is still looking for funding guarantees from Exxon/Mobil. There is no "deal".
