I do not listen to any of this, even though I am aware of these characters. This is so scary.

3. hate radio makes people brain dead.
I think people do not realize how dangerous it is. I have seen decent people turn into zombies because they started to listen. They start to think of the host as their god and follow without question.

4. When Al Franken started his radio show, he had a guest...

...on every day who was a friend who used to be a liberal but became a Rush Limbaugh fan.

Franken would debunk something Limbaugh said every day, and the friend would usually say that Franken was right about that point, but that Limbaugh is preaching the truth overall.

6. I remember that.
I have a few family members that are so into Rush that their day revolves around his show. They grew up out in the boonies with little access to anything but radio. They hate liberals and intellectuals although I often notice they do not really know what it mens to be either. I am not saying they are dumb, in fact they are good, loving caring people who are so confused by the brainwashing they think Conservatives did all the good things for people throughout the years, social security, medicare, etc: Hate radio is brainwashing, the same as what hitler did. You can't literally kill the intellectuals so you make them into the bad guy to hate and "kill" them with words. This group that is taking over the world has no room for people who can understand what is really going on. Hate radio is one of the most dangerous and destructive things that ever happened in our Country.

8. I watched a little and it was very frightening. The right wingers who
write these books claiming that liberals are evil, are what's wrong with this country, are the enemy. Michael Savage, Rush, and Hannity were all mentioned. Very, very creepy.

I just don't get it. Do they really believe what they write/say?? How can they justify it??

:scared:

10. how can they get away with it?
They really do cause people to want to hurt liberals. I am afraid sometime when I have a button on or a sign in my yard.

12. Alaska Women Rally Against Palin And Are Threatened
ANCHORAGE, Alaska-- Opponents of Gov. Sarah Palin's policies are being threatened.

Alaska Women Reject Palin, a local group that opposes the Republican vice presidential candidate, on Wednesday announced plans to host an anti-Palin rally this weekend.

Since that announcement organizers say they've received intimidating messages.

A press release for the Reject Palin rally went out to practically every media outlet in town Wednesday. And one talk radio host decided to share the names and phones numbers of the two contacts on-air.

That decision has left organizers feeling somewhat fearful of practicing their First Amendment rights.

KBYR talk radio host Eddie Burke admits he is a conservative and a "Palinista."

13. I saw that on YouTube and yeah... no one says it but RW MSM really could be considered hate speech
It's rather sad that because it espouses violence against a political movement that it actually decreases the chances that acknowledgment of the negative effects of this sort of speech is lowered.
