In what respect, Charlie? GOP PUNDITS NEVER HEARD OF BUSH DOCTRINE!
Isn't it hilarious how all these BushBot type political pundits are now claiming, "NOBODY knows what Charlie Gibson meant, even I didn't know that!"

Excuse me??? I want a President & Veep who not only know about this stuff but LIVE AND BREATHE IT....who have not only heard about it but read 20 books about it, discussed, argued, THINK AND GIVE A SHIT ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON!

If "the average person" doesn't know it fine. When did the bar for intelligence get so low?

I was really happy to see Bill Maher call that dork he had on the show last night about, HE didn't even know what the Bush Doctrine is, Bill was like oh you are a cynical bastard, you're smarter than that but your acting stupid because the people you want to convince are stupid!

1. The Bush Doctrine
It suddenly became OK for the US to shock and awe anybody anywhere anytime the president of the US decides.

Used to be that the president was restricted to having a damn good reason.

2. Yeah, that guy on Bill Maher's show was a bloomin' idiot. But Janeane Garafolo ROCKS!
I met her once - she was going with a friend of mine in Grad. School, a gifted poet.
He was moonlighting as a bartender in NYC on week-ends, and she used to come in with a girlfriend.

She's awesome, isn't she?

She's intelligent and she has a good grasp of current issues.

run for office in NY.

3. If she didn't know what it meant she should have asked.
The fact that she tried to bullshit her way past her ignorance, rather than ask a simple question, tell us all we need to know.

4. I watched that exchange and I agree.
But even more importantly, she didn't know and panicked, then tried to bullshit her way around the question. If she would have reacted with, 'I'm not sure I understand the doctrine, will you please explain it to me?' it would have been much better. But as it was she revealed her dishonesty as well as her ignorance.

15. Yes, and she answered all questions with BushCo "slogans"
Obviously crammed for the dumbass slogans and has never really given world events much thought.

I was also struck by what Bill mentioned last night. Obviously they had told her every time Israel is brought up to say "we can't second-guess Israel's need to defend themselves!" That's her "answer" to any question on Israel. She wouldn't have passed a 10th grade civics class repeating such "reflections" on current events!

5. John Fund was in complete scrambly mode last night.
And Bill didn't let him off the hook, even though they are professed "drinking buddies".

Wonder if Fund put a all into Coulter so they could double-team Bill during post-show cocktails. It's one of the things I despise the most about Maher.

6. That was the best response I've seen on that show.
Well that and Roseanne making fun of the republican sneer.

But it's true, All these pundits have to act stupid in order to cover for the stupidity of the dumshits they are talking down to as well as the dumshits they are talking about.

One of the better Bill Maher shows in awhile.

11. Actually, we were led to believe that. Turns out, the only truth about that was the "ploy" part.
Neither her son nor the other troops there were being deployed that day.

She just chose to give her "going away" speech on 9/11 because it made it more poignant.

There is no exact date yet for when they will actually be deployed.

More lies and half-truths, and she's not even in office yet! Just imagine if they were...

9. Yeah, why would anyone know what the Bush doctrine is?
After all, it's only cost a trillion dollars and a couple of million lives. It's not like it's anything, you know, important or anything. Politics is confusing! Let's talk about lipstick.

Fucktards.
