that downstate is turning slightly red, Cook County is staying deep blue (and I don't know about the collar counties). All the polls I've seen are old, so I can't say for certain.
Sometimes downstate and the collar counties out vote Chicago - such as with Jim Edgar (he only got 30 percent of Cook County but pulled the rest of the state by wide margins). But I seriously doubt that will happen this time. Although McCain may have slightly more support downstate, it's not going to be enough.
Again, Edgar got wide margins in the rest of the state to win without Chicago.

I'm not all that sure how well McCain will do in the Chicago suburbs. A Democrat won Dennis Hastert's Congressional seat, after all.
Obama will win Illinois somewhere between 70 - 80%.
