MSM covers for Palin..."confusion understandable..."
I noticed the same thing this morning on NPR--might have been Cokie Roberts covering for her saying there are many versions of the Bush Doctrine. Funny how none of us here were confused!

Many versions of 'Bush Doctrine'
Experts say Palin's confusion in interview understandable
The Washington Post

By Michael Abramowitz

updated 11:04 a.m. ET, Sat., Sept. 13, 2008
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin seemed puzzled Thursday when ABC News anchor Charles Gibson asked her whether she agrees with the "Bush doctrine."

"In what respect, Charlie?" she replied.

Intentionally or not, the Republican vice presidential nominee was on to something. After a brief exchange, Gibson explained that he was referring to the idea -- enshrined in a September 2002 White House strategy document -- that the United States may act militarily to counter a perceived threat emerging in another country. But that is just one version of a purported Bush doctrine advanced over the past eight years.

2. MS-Moose Shit!!! She did not know what it was, period.
When Charlee explained it to her, she still did not answer his direct question.

4. It wasn't just that she didn't know what the bush doctrine is.
She also didn't seem to know that there even is such a thing. We are talking about the basis for American foreign policy over the last seven years. And Ms. "I'm ready" never heard of it.

But even beyond her abject cluelessness over this particular doctrine, she gives no sign of realizing the significance of even having a guiding principle for foreign policy.

As far as I can tell, Palin knows nothing whatsoever about how Washington works. She has no experience there, no contacts, no network. Given this, how is she supposed to be an "agent for change"? If you want change, you want someone who knows the system, who knows what levers to pull and who to talk to to get things done. That would be Joe Biden, not Mighty Moose.

5. Not fair! She knows how to lobby for earmarks....
And she knows how to use position to her advantage by vindinctively punishing the slightest infractions of loyalty, something the Bush family has been known to do with relish.

6. The B.S. cover works only if she answered ...
my interpretation of the Bush Doctrine is X, or even if she said something remotely related. She didn't she was stumped and went off on her incoherent answer off of prepared talking points.

Nice try righties...and the Dem pundits tomorrow better nail them on this excuse.
