9. This is an online poll - the methodology dooms it
As we know they can be Freeped (or DUed)

But not all polling is untrustworthy.

The problem is that real, good, polling is not as easy as it might seem. Statistics have proven over and over again that about 1200 people CAN accurately represent the opinions of the entire US.

The problem is less with the wording of the question (which you can read and evaluate for yourself) as it is with picking the RIGHT 1200 people (a process which you, the reader, can NOT see). Too many Dems or too many Reps, not enough cell phone users (or people who vote like them), too many rich or poor, rural or urban, and the poll is no longer representative. A lot of work goes into these things but we're still grappling with a lot of issues, like how to either reach or accurately represent non-landline people.

(and yes, I do market research for a living)

4. She was fake and silently snarling... Newsweek is pretty liberal, relatively speaking
Isn't it a NYC rag?

8. Yeah she bombed.
She just needs to be given a little more rope with which to hang herself. More time in the media spotlight will do it. The more she opens her trap the less like wonder woman she looks, and more she's shown to be clueless.

This woman scares the shit outta me! I agree with what Maher said the other night. Hearing Palin speak made me write a check to Obama, thinking about it may make me write another! :scared:
