Have any of the cons said this about Hurricane Ike?
Edited on Sun Sep-14-08 09:04 AM by Hokie
Warning sarcasm!

"As far as I am concerned I do not want one damned cent of my taxes spent to help these people. They knew they were building in a low area that was subject to hurricanes and flooding. The best thing we can do is let it return to its natural state and become a bayou again. If these people are too dumb to figure it out then they deserve what they get. There is no way I want my taxes spent to help them rebuild just so they can be flooded out again in 10 years."

Just reread the above paragraph and think about "Katrina" and "New Orleans" instead of "Ike" and "Texas". This is what every republican I know said after Katrina about New Orleans. I don't mean a few of them, I mean EVERY ONE. That is why I think the republican party is racist to the core.

1. I was wondering that, too.
Are we going to start hearing from the right wing that Galveston shouldn't be rebuilt?
