1. For those of you who haven't been through a hurricane before
This is what a near miss from a cat 2 storm looks like.


This is what being spared from total destruction looks like.


If the eye had come ashore just south of Galveston, Galveston would have ceased to exist...


...again.

7. Cat 3, if the wind had been just 1 mph more.
That's why I don't like to think in terms of catagories..
there are so many other variables which determine damage.

3. I think that was done only for dramatic effect...
it looks like his big gas pig is there in the background to cart him away.
