Ultimately, it's McCain who showed the worst judgment in history.

1. It's got him in the lead...
in most polls and even 50% in one poll...not a bad pick politically...for the country it is a disaster if Palin ever becomes the Prez!

3. Obama rakes in 66 Million dollars
gains a half a million new donors, those polls don't seem to be adding up. I look around here, I can't find a McCain sign to save my soul. Yet he is leading?

I hear people who only use cell phones are not included in these polls, I also hear that newly registered voters are not included in these polls. Isnt that a lot of people not being heard or counted?

Something really stinks about these polls.

5. No it doesn't
The average of the national polls put them at a tie. Obama has the momentum whereas McBlame and Sarah Sunshine are going down.

7. Dennis, why are you always so negative? Cheer up please.
Its really bringing me down to constantly see your downer posts. Its depressing. Look, the polls are tightening and two of them are even showing Obama ahead by a point. Palin was good politically for like two weeks but after the "In what regard Charlie" fiasco she is fast becoming a liability. Now chill out and put your feet up and drink some wine or something.

8. Not a bad pick politically....

A disastrous pick politically. It got him in the lead for a couple of weeks, and now its going to sink whatever chance he had to win.

She's a human millstone.

Had he picked Mike Huckabee, I think we'd be losing and in serious trouble.

The sooner the better.

4. And unfortunately for him (fortunately for us), he's the one paying for it
And not just the obvious stuff like all the scandals and her incredible lack of knowledge as showcased on Gibson. McCain has been so used to being the celebrity (something he accused Obama of being) because he was a POW, and the media kissed his ass and called him maverick all the time that he probably blew a gasket once Obama started getting record-breaking crowds. He wanted that mojo back and went with a gimmick selection to try and get the maverick label back, but all the attention - good and bad - started going to Palin. Now he's damned if he does appear with Palin because the crowds (which they're lying about how big they are, but they're still bigger than what they were) are only there for her, and if he doesn't campaign with her then her solo appearances will draw bigger crowds than his, and it will be apparent that no one cares about Maverick Johnny-Boy McPowstein anymore.

6. ... she has been a successful distraction, until now ..
... Sarah the "bright shiny object" has kept the media from focusing on the facts that Obama/Biden have laid out that the GOP is devoid of ideas, plans, or any empathy for the US citizenry.

All the drama and brouhaha over Failin' Pailin' serves to just run out the clock and allow the McCain camp to try to gain some
kind of legitimacy in the eyes of Joe and Jane SixPack.

But to your point, I don't think he really knew of all the scandalous baggage she would bring with her ... so the ticket should by all means sink twice as fast as we hoped.
