Still bitter about The New Deal. Blaming FDR for our current economic problems.

It's been 75 Years already!
When will they come around?
When will they get over it?
When can we move past this, as a country?

Onward, my fellow Progressives.

CHANGE!

1. They'll die someday
The GOP is making a big mistake if they rely on old people and the same white people to win them elections every cycle. Maybe it will work this time, but they are facing a biog demographic bomb that is going to blow their party away in due course.

4. So true.
Unfortunately, most of them were born in the '50s, '60s & '70s.

6. The "Red Scare" made America safe for fascism.
Ford, Lindburgh, Coughlin, Harriman, Bush, Walker ... and on and on.

8. "If-Only Conservatives"
really? okay. So they are less of a force now? That's a relief.

I mean, their arguments are pretty ridiculous... they wax poetically about what would have been if it weren't for FDR. They latch on to the troubles with Medicare and Social Security as proof that they were bad programs.

I refer to them as "If-Only Conservatives"
