WASHINGTON - Testy lawyers on Friday battled over what to call Sen. Ted Stevens' house, what pictures jurors will see of that house and how documents are being shared between sides as the Alaska legend's corruption trial nears.

Stevens, the Senate's longest-serving Republican, is scheduled to stand trial in two weeks on charges of lying in Senate disclosure records about hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts and home renovations he received from VECO Corp., an oil pipeline services company. .........

........Stevens requested a speedy trial.

He used to call it "the chalet," now he and his lawyers want to call it a modest cabin. Hardly any room a'tall. Gotta step outside if you want to change your mind. So small the mice are round-shouldered. Eensy-weensy little thing.

Golly Sen. Stevens. Sounds like you sold your seat in the Senate for pretty damn little. I mean, Duke Cunningham got all sorts of nice things, and he was just a Representative!
