15. I'm using levity but really I'm wondering if this is finally it.
There have been so many cries of a real meltdown and I do believe it's inevitable - just not sure when to know it's really happening.

Not that it'll matter, there's not much I can do so I'll just wait and watch.

2. Are they just speculating
or is it based on any concrete data?

3. Concrete, they said in passing they are looking for a buyer
and we know AIG is looking.

I am starting to wonder bout Citibank

6. How does a "business" network say that in passing?
"Oh, and the Earth is going to plunge into the Sun tomorrow. Next up, Kent Riverdale with the weather."

5. This is really bad.
I know that sounds stupid, but what else is there to say. I think this is it. I honestly now believe that we are going to sink into an economic depression.

8. Morgan-Stanley
Apparently Bank of America is going to get them. I hope they don't go broke, as BofA is my checking and savings.

10. They bough Merrill Lynch earlier today
Have not mentioned they are also getting Morgan... though for again, personal reasons, it would be down right hysterical

12. The free market has given us BofA and Citi.
Gotta love competition and a free market.

14. Ah yes, "capitalism" at work
I use those, since what we have does not fit the definition of classic economics

Foolish me, actually read The Wealth of Nations

And it is on the table for a second read

13.  Before you know it, these banks are going to be so cheap
that a consortium of DUers will be able to buy one. Just kidding. Our money (assuming we have any), of course is disappearing as we blog.
