3. Merging a couple of events into a confluence....
...the current banking fiasco and Ike's impact will force Senator Angry Old Prick to accept Palin's request to withdraw from the campaign so Prick can pick a more economy-centric candidate. I see this bet as rather reasonable and give it 4:1 odds.

I really want to see her drop out for "personal reasons" after bombing in the debate against Biden. Either that, or after the investigation into Troopergate totally blows up in her face. Really wanting maximum impact from her withdrawal. And the closer to the election, the better.

6. She will not drop out. Ever. That would make her Eagleton. If McCain dies they replace him, not her.
It does not matter if they indict her in Troopergate (but they won't indict her as long as she is a candidate, it would look too political). There is nothing she could do or that would be revealed about her that would cause them to dump her at this point, since the base likes her. If the base stopped liking her, maybe.
