Country Singer Araon Tipping writes PRO DRILLING SONG
"This is not satire, heck country music needs more people like Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, The Dixie Chicks, Steve Earl, Martina McBride and less people like Araon".

COUNTRY STAR AARON TIPPIN TAKES STAND WITH PRO-DRILLING SONG

"Drill Here, Drill Now" (NIPPIT Records)

NASHVILLE, Tennessee-(September 15, 2008) Like many Americans, platinum-selling recording artist, songwriter and producer Aaron Tippin is enduring the effects of high gas prices. Tippin's put his thoughts into music to pen "Drill Here, Drill Now," a song about how Americans truly feel and what we can do to help correct the problem.

"I think we are all frustrated and I've seen how people are suffering," Tippin introduced. "It's severely hitting the blue collar, working class Americans-and those are the folks that have supported me throughout the years. It takes half a paycheck to cover the gas just to get to and from work. If I can be the messenger to help my American friends and neighbors understand that we really do have options and can create positive change, that's what I'm gonna do. ‘Drill Here, Drill Now' is an empowering ‘stand-up and pay attention' kind of song."

Capturing the essence of Newt Gingrich's current American Solutions Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less petition (that has gathered nearly 1.5 million signatures to date-visit www.americansolutions.com/actioncenter/
petitions) and his latest publication by the same name, Aaron's song is in direct alignment with Newt's message. The chorus of Tippin's new song says it all: "Drill here, drill now...How ‘bout some oil from our own soil that belongs to us anyhow...No more debatin' we're tired of waitin' everybody shout out loud...drill here, drill now."

The alignment to tie Newt's message with Aaron Tippin's songcraft made for a natural fit. Newt Gingrich and Aaron Tippin are both outspoken Americans who take a stand for their country.

The single "Drill Here Drill Now" made its national debut on the Sean Hannity Show last week with special guest Newt Gingrich and is now available for download via www.aarontippin.com.

As a musical road warrior and frequent traveler around the U.S. and abroad to visit and perform for our American brothers and sisters in uniform, in Iraq and Afghanistan each year, Tippin understands and has experienced first-hand the impact of the soaring fuel prices.

"High gas prices are a topic of every day conversation these days. Fans talk to me about it in my autograph lines, that's how bad it is," Tippin said. "As a working artist with shows scheduled every weekend, we're feeling it, not only traveling down the road, but show attendance is lessened because folks just can't afford it; they can barely afford to travel to and from the workplace to make a living."

"The American people want solutions," adds Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House and best-selling author of Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less. "The answer is not choosing between drilling and alternative fuels, but using both to benefit Americans who are finding it harder and harder to make ends meet," Newt said.

The premise behind Newt Gingrich's new book "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" (co-written with Vince Haley) is to outline a comprehensive plan to reduce prices at the pump, while adopting real solutions for America's energy future.

"Newt's book is just plain common sense as to how we can fix the problem," Tippin said. "Gingrich and Haley show that we can ease the pain for all Americans, and I'm all for it."

"Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" will be available via www.AmericanSolutions.com, Newt.org and everywhere books are sold.

Tippin's recording,"Drill Here, Drill Now," is poised to send out a message throughout the country--and to Capitol Hill--to become the official rallying mantra to enforce American-made energy NOW!

1. They can drill all they want but it won't do any
damn good if there are no refineries to refine what they drill. Idiots.

2. The Lyrics
Hello…..Is anybody out there listenin’ in Washington D.C.
This is the suffering voice of America crying out for relief
Now I don’t know what a gallon of gas costs up on Capitol Hill
But we sure know what it costs down here in Realityville
And the damage already done has been a mighty heavy toll
And if we’re gonna fix it we gotta start right here at home

CHORUS:
Drill here, drill now
How ‘bout some oil from our own soil that belongs to us anyhow
No more debatin’ we’re tired of waitin’ everybody shout out loud
Drill here, drill now

Every time a foreign tanker pulls up to our shore
They got us over a barrel while they bleed us a little more
And think how much it costs just to bring it all that way
And how many American jobs that’d make if we were drillin’ in the USA
Oh and God forbid if our oily friends should decide to cut us off
We’d be standin’ around with our britches down now listen to me ya’ll

REPEAT CHORUS

Well the winds of change are blowin’
Yes and we recognize that need
But tractors, trucks, cars and planes can’t run on tomorrow’s dreams
So while we’re workin’ on the future we can’t ignore today
Cuz who knows how much time the alternative might take
Somethin’s gotta be done right now cuz friends it won’t be long
Before this great big country comes grinding to a halt

This is why I can't listen to Country Music. As a Rancher in Texas I'm a loner swimming in a sea of stupid ! I used to like country music. Maybe Mr. Tippin should have a conversation with T. Boone Pickins!! Didn't Tippen have a mullet style haircut at one time?
