Ike is like Katrina all over again. Not exactly I know, but so far
the * Administration is STILL incompetent 3 years after the tragedy known as Hurricane Katrina. Surprise, Surprise...not! Here's the thing, the gigantic failure of the Federal Government in Katrina was horrifying but never did I imagine that after that experience these same people would be in charge of another Hurricane crisis. I mean, I just didn't think of it. And besides, I expected that they would not make the exact same mistakes if it were to happen again. What was I thinking? I know that it took much longer, way too long, for help to arrive after Katrina but so far, the response of the "authorities" after Ike is eerily similar. It seems that FEMA is still inept, the Republicans who claim to be about small government have created the biggest government I have seen in my lifetime and it is useless. Right now, I am too tired to name all the similarities but I am shocked by the fact that the * Administration LEARNED NOTHING from Katrina. How on Earth can that be? I know, I should know better yet I still, at times, expect them to serve the people of this Country especially in a crisis. At least "appear" to be serving the public.

I don't know what else to say. I just can't believe I am seeing this all over again. Once was enough for a lifetime.

ENOUGH!

1. Sigh. You're not seeing it all over again.
The thing they learned from the first time around is to keep the media away from the most heavily damaged areas......and from the areas they have no intention of helping. Like the indian tribe who have no help whatsoever...I mean, they denied big oil part of their land, so they're not officially recognized.

This isn't negligence, and it isn't an accident.

Read Shock Doctrine.
