Chuck Todd is a candy ass Tim Russert wanna be |
|
Gawd almighty.......here he is with his phony poll numbers and electoral map and he thinks he is now the political expert on TV. He is just another rightwing hack propping up Gramps and Pa-in in the ass.I have gotten to the point now I turn him off immediately when he comes on. He belongs over at Fox where he would be more at home.

his true colors have begun to show through and I also don't pay any attention to him. Last night, on MSNBC, I decided to walk away when he was on with his maps and gadgets. I don't trust these people at all for truth.

It seems some folks here immediately turn on people when they don't agree. I don't really care about any of these people on TV, but it's clear to me that McCain has been gaining in the polls. I'm not sure sticking our heads in the sand and calling other people RW's is going to help anything.

5. Do you really think these polls are correct? |
|
After EIGHT years of republican rule and a too old candidate with a ditzy running mate who is caught up in all these scandals and you think that's sticking our heads in the sand??? Give me a break.People are HUNGRY for change and putting another repuke in the WH does NOT mean change. Geez... I don't believe Obama dropped that fast in the polls just because McSame picked a woman running mate. Maybe YOU'VE got your head in the sand,eh? :eyes:

7. why yes, insofar as they go, I think the polls are roughly correct |
|
however, they don't measure the impact of new voters and they can't poll those with cell phones only. Your characterization of McCain is completely partisan and ergo worthless. In addition, the role of soft racism in this election is a very real factor- though how big a one is yet to be determined. Thinking you know what the electorate- one that is quite divided wants- points only to a laughable hubris on your part. And Obama has not dropped that precipitously in the polls.
Maybe you're clueless about the complexities in this election.

15. oh for pity's sake. what on earth in my post could lead you to say |
|
that I sound like a McCain supporter? That I pointed out accurately that the characterization of McCain was partisan. Anyone with a fucking functioning brain cell or two can recognize that. The fact is, dearie, that a good chunk of the electorate doesn't view him as I do or you do. They see him as a noble war hero maverick. And you can thank, in large part, the reprehensible MSM.
Grab a fucking clue- if you can.

optimistic about my country making the right choice. They sure as hell did not in '04, right? So yes, I think America (as a whole, not as Democrats) might be dumb enough to vote McCain into office.

9. These people voted for Bush TWICE. |

I'm sorry, but are you suggesting some kind of collusion by every single major polling organization to skew their polls to McCain?

How many times will you be surprised by the stupidity and irrationality of the American people? I knew if Obama won the nomination that it would be an uphill battle. I don't remember who n TV said it but I'll paraphrase the idea. "The Republicans actually nominated someone who might be able to win and the Democrats nominated someone who could actually lose." It's crazy, I'm happy to support Obama but I am not the least bit surprised that Americans are looking for any reason to "not" support the liberal, the guy that's different, or "insert reason here". It's like they want to be lied to so they can go with their prejudices and bias instead of their rational decision..

18. doesn't Chuck just report the polls? |
|
I'm not disagreeing that the polls seem weird, but he only reports and interprets them, right? So if there are methodological problems, I guess he could say "take these with a grain of salt," I suppose, but he doesn't actually have anything to do with the results themselves.
(I like Chuck, myself, as if you couldn't tell.)

Like it or not, he is beginning to understand...and actually talk about!...the role racism may play in deciding this election. We need to be prepared for racism's impact.
