Palin's Dominance Dooms McCain Scoo/Collins (autorank)

]

"She steps forward, with the confidence of a high school cheerleader while the full professor of perverse politics looks on with admiration and affection.

"At the start of his campaign, he was unable to draw a crowd or deliver a speech that just about anyone found the least bit engaging. In early side by side coverage of a same day event, CNN showed Obama hitting one out of the park and McCain struggling to engage 200 onlookers. Snip

"Now Palin has McCain trapped. Very soon, he won't be able to live with her. But without her, his decent into triple digit crowds and positions that represent a shrinking minority of the electorate will only cause the public to recall his infatuation with a woman who encouraged the slaughter of wolves and payment for their subsequent dismemberment."

8. She's relentless about it.
It's really interesting the way the law is written in Alaska on the wolf hunting and the bounty
for the wolf's leg. They call it a 'biological specimen.' Of course, they don't mention the
dismemberment of the wolf's body at all.

In cards, this is what's called a "tell."

5. PALIN CORRUPTION SCANDAL
from http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/politics/national/stories/DN-palin_14pol.ART.State.Edition1.26e9372.html an article in the Dallas Morning News

In Alaska, Sarah Palin hired friends, hit critics hard
12:00 AM CDT on Sunday, September 14, 2008

WASILLA, Alaska – Gov. Sarah Palin lives by the maxim that all politics is local, not to mention personal.

According to public records and interviews with 60 Republican and Democratic legislators and local officials, Sarah Palin has blurred the line between government and personal grievance. 'She is bright and has unfailing political instincts,' said Steve Haycox, a University of Alaska professor. 'But her governing style raises a lot of hard questions.'
So when there was a vacancy at the state Agriculture Department, she appointed a high school classmate, Franci Havemeister, to the $95,000-a-year directorship. A former real estate agent, Ms. Havemeister cited her childhood love of cows as a qualification for running the roughly $2 million agency.

Ms. Havemeister was one of at least five high school classmates Ms. Palin hired, often at salaries far exceeding their private sector wages.

Ms. Palin walks the national stage as a small-town foe of "good old boys" politics and a champion for ethics reform. And as the Republican vice presidential nominee, she points to her management experience while mocking her Democratic rivals, Sens. Barack Obama and Joe Biden, as speechmakers who never have run anything.

An examination of her swift rise and record as mayor of Wasilla and then governor finds that her visceral style and penchant for attacking critics – she sometimes calls local opponents "haters" – often contrasts with her public image.

Throughout her career, she has pursued vendettas, fired officials who crossed her and sometimes blurred the line between government and personal grievance, according to a review of public records and interviews with 60 Republican and Democratic legislators and local officials.

Interviews show that Ms. Palin runs an administration that puts a premium on loyalty and secrecy. The governor and her top officials sometimes use personal e-mail accounts for state business; dozens of e-mail messages obtained by The New York Times show that her staff members studied whether that could allow them to circumvent subpoenas seeking public records.

If you posted this, leave a link. If not, why not give it a shot. This is confirmatory, it's
stunning really - her childhood love of cows as a qualification for running the roughly $2 million
agency." But then again, Palin sees Russia from her guard tower;) - makes her a first rate
diplomat and foreign policy expert.

6. Oh so true
He just thought the grass would be greener and I doubt if he saw that his POW star wasn't so twinkling any more. Enter Ms Palin who was supposed to brighten up that star and it hasn't worked out that way.

"Bush/Cheney dead-enders" what a perfect expression, and dead enders they are. I am amazed at the amount of people who don't think this recent financial debacle is their fault. Good grief they've been moving toward it for the last several years. I wonder if even they were curious if we were going to ever stop them from looting the United States of America.

Good article.

11. Thanks shifting_sands! Here's a "tanning bed" scandal for her

I was going to link Brian Ross' Blotter, ABC News, for you. Then I found this.

It's endless. Why didn't they just to to San Quentin Prison or some federal big house and release
someone (like 'Dirty Dozen' or '48 Hours';)?

13. It makes you wonder who is the stuffer and who is the stuffee...
And I don't think it gets anymore stuffee than old Special Needs McFuddyDuddy.(craves dog meat)(wolf meat too now I guess)

Queen GOPer's mom and dad's house looks just like the lobby at the Bates Motel what with all the poor old stuffed critters hanging all over the place. I think Sarah wants to bag a Wildish Russian Boor next. Putty Poot is prolly scared shitless. If they'd have turned Sarah loose with her assault weapons in Baghdad back in 03 there wouldn't be anybody left alive over there to tend the BushCo/PNAC oil wells.

I was really sad to hear that Pootie and George broke up. Maybe Jeff G or Rev. Haggard will step up and fill W's void for him.

Everybody wants Queen Sarah Glasses now in the extra narrow size, for the narrow of mind.

Sarah's even upstaged Ike and the Great Wall Street/BushCo Crash of 2008. McFuddyDuddy is REALLY sucking the hind t!t now!(I tell ya, he don't get no respect, no respect at all)(he don't deserve any anyway)

If they were going this far, why didn't they just put Gannon on the ticket?

"No respect" is what McCain showed the citizens with this nomination.
