"They found Jean Lafitte's treasure.

Estimated value at 4.8 trillion dollars.

The feds are trying to find ways to launder it through South America, and will then use it to bail out mortgage companies."

(My note: I'm not posting the link because this is a local blog where people are seeking help, and I don't want to be the cause of it being inundated with outside posts. Hope you understand.)

1. Oh My God..........I have a funny story about Lafitte's treasure
I have an Aunt and Uncle, the parents of five of my Cousins, that have lived in the same house in Seabrook, TX for nearly 50 years. In the late 1970s, my Uncle was an Insurance Executive and my Aunt was a Disciple of a Houston Guru and Foot Massage Therapist named simply Adano...

Adano told my Aunt that Jean Lafitte had buried his treasure directly under their home. Knowing that my Uncle would have none of it, my Aunt had the home partially demolished, the foundation destroyed and a pit about three feet deep dug under the house to look for this purported treasure - all while my Uncle was out of the US for three weeks. The pit was three feet because once you dug two feet, you hit water.

When my Aunt's (my Uncle in this case is my blood relative) father died at the age of 88, I was asked to sing at his funeral, Adano was also there. When it was his turn to speak, he pulled out a twinkie, stuck a birthday candle in it, and asked the assembled mourners to sing Happy Birthday. The Baptist Minister and I, sitting on the dais, just looked at each other as the crowd started to mumble-sing Happy Birthday.

When Adano died, his hard core followers (of which my Aunt was not one) kept his body in his Houston Apartment for over two weeks awaiting his resurrection. Neighbors, complaining of an even more unusual smell emanating from Adano's Apartment notified the Management Company which, after attempting to resolve the matter privately, had to call in the Houston Police....

Lafitte has driven some to madness.......

5. No.
Someone would have noticed the bloodless corpses by now if Cheney had been there for very long.
