I've been with DU nearly from the beginning of this national nightmare. Deepest thanks to those who put it together and have provided me and so many others with a place to feel like we're not alone and to experience solidarity in opposition to the worst and most dangerous chapter ever in the history of this nation. Who knows how much farther along in their fascist experiment the neocons would now be without the truly splendid think-tanking that has gone on at DU? Thanks to the admins and to all of you who have hung in and researched deeply on difficult issues. The truth you have exposed and continue to expose every day will set us free. I have absolutely no doubt.

As you can see, I'm chugging along and hope to hit 1000 posts by the election, or sooner hopefully. I've been here almost since the beginning, but as a lurker and sometime poster. I agree that this site is excellent and has been a sanity saver for me more times than I care to think about.
