Jon Stewart was sexist
I think that the video is posted in the video forum.

Why? Because he would not have behaved in such a leery way had that VP candidate were a man.

17. There was nothing sexist about Tina Fey on SNL
SNL has a history of parodying politicians of all shapes and forms.

But to stick his tongue into Palin's "ear" was disgusting.

"SNL has a history of parodying politicians of all shapes and forms."

Psst hey um --->clue<wack>stick... The Daily Show is on the COMEDY CENTRAL Channel.

That's OK no need to thank me, the obvious escapes many.

36. for those who miss nuance
Stewart was making fun of all of the idiots who are fawning over Palin because she is so "hot". He was being over the top with his persona while pointing out her serious experience, policy, and ethical problems. There are voters out there who are not listening to what she is saying because they are attracted to her and "how" she says things. Not everything is a sexist attack on Palin.

He was obviously ridiculing the sort of Repuke who would wear a "Hottest governor from the coldest state" button.

Furthermore, I can easily picture Samantha Bee doing the same for a male candidate who was being promoted as a sex object.

And I do believe Samantha Bee/another woman did something about Obama being attractive on there before. Too many crazy things on there to remember they all.

46. Jon Stewart is a satirist.
God almighty, there are plenty of sexist jerks in the media -- no need to pick on Jon Stewart.

We've been hearing ad infinitum about Palin's alleged hotness. Naturally the Daily Show is going to pick up on that. I'm a woman and a feminist, and I've never once been offended by Jon Stewart.

When people focus on her style - her hair, her glasses or her shoes - rather than her STATEMENTS, that is what is sexist.

Absoutely right, as it was with Hillary
and Palin can and should be mocked for her "experience" (rather lack of) and her statements, as Tina Fey did on SNL.

But to present her as a sexual object, as Stewart did this is, well, sexist.

43. This is true.
I stopped watching him most of the year, came back two weeks ago and caught his Karl Rove duplicity, and O'Reilly, that I decided to give him a second change.

But I do remember some very juvenile locker-room type skits there. Well, he does have to cater to his audience, especially since he can be considered an old men by many in his audience.
