I am so excited to get my button & sticker!

I have NEVER worn a button or had a sticker on my car before! I went to the farmer's market and there was a dude from the democratic Party out of Santa cruz registering people and selling stickers and buttons. I practically tackled him!

I was mentioning to him, "feet on the ground, that's where it happens!"
he told me he was on his way to nevada to help with a ballot intitative... I gave him a BIG thank you!!

There was this 'older' woman in the parking lot who saw me putting my sticker on and said, " I thought those were supposed to be free, where does the money go?"
I told her is goes to the party, he's with the Democratic Party.
She said, "you really think it will get there?" Implying that he was gonna pocket the cash (why? cuz he had long hair?)

I said "of course! That's how it happens, we support the candidates by the groundwork!"
I also mentioned "besides, even online, you have to pay for them, it is considered a donation for the campaign."

She said "oh, well if that the case, I will go get some...!"

I also mentioned to her I wanted to help in Nevada registering and she said her friend is in charge of it...now I just have to find her contact info!

i am SO fired up and ready for OUR candidates to WIN THIS THING!!! :woohoo:

edit to add, there is phone banking every Thursday at the local Community College! YAY! can't WAIT!
