Karl Rove has 5 days. -John Conyers.
This threat was over 2 months ago.

This letter is to formally notify you that we must insist on compliance with the subpoena and urge you to reconsider your position... . Please let us know no later than Tuesday July, 15 if Mr. Rove will comply with the subpoena, or we will proceed to consider all other appropriate recourse," wrote Conyers

http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Rove_disses_Congres_refuses_subpoena_to_0710.html

Yet here we are. Hope ? ...It's hard to have hope when the Democrats are covering up for war criminals.

Any thoughts on why Conyers would do this ?

10. You cannot seriously be suggesting that John Conyers belongs in jail.
Sometimes, this place is so ridiculous that it is simply unbelievable.

13. I am not so sure about jail.
But it is clear he is violating his oath of office...

"I, AB, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.'

8. I don't like the sentiment on the sign at all.
What are we saying to the world here "Hey, sure, we're spineless, but at least we're not evil!"

It IS possible to have a backbone and stand up for what's right without being evil. I think that Democrats are sometimes are all to agreeable to take on the inappropriate labels thrust on us by the freepers and MSM. Oh sure, we're wishy-washy, spineless, tax-and-spend liberals, but it doesn't make us bad guys, does it?

Come on people, lets show some backbone and stop acting like we don't really deserve to be running this country!

12. I agree, but tell it to Dems in power.
Besides Kucinich, they are the ones who appear to lack a spine, not us.

I'll always vote for Democrats if they are the only viable choice. But the lameness of this party (in power) is getting tiresome. We need the kind of change the Green Party wants, and that's why it's very unfortunate that the Green Party is currently nothing but a distraction.

We need a Green wing of the Democratic party to make it party worth believing in.

11. Blah blah blah...
Any more, this is just barking from a dog that has been rendered toothless by the neocons. This was always just noise and nothing will come of it. Sorry if I'm jaded, but I have given up hope that Rove (or any of the other war criminals) will be held accountable in any court of law.

And I love the pic on the right. That pretty much sums up the way I feel right about now...

21. If as much energy were invested in taking down the neocons as is spent beating up Democrats,...
,...the Democrats may actually gain the power of the masses to pursue justice.

The Republicans/conservatives/corporacrats always have an edge, politically, because,...they play to win. Meanwhile, too many members of the Democratic or Independent parties fail to play as a team, readily attacking one another no matter what the outcome.

The neocons have called us "scattered cats" because,...that's exactly how we behave EVEN WHEN ALL OUR COMMON INTERESTS ARE AT STAKE. It's kind of funny, too, because as we condemn die-hard Republicans for denying reality,...we are just as guilty for denying how our behavior shapes our reality.

Hmph!

25. SPINELESS. Bullseye!! That's right on the money. We'd BETTER be reminding each other about how
weak and timid our party has become or it's just going to get worse.

If you're not going to back up what you say--especially if you're a Congressional Committee chairman--then shut the fuck up. You undermine all Dems when you do that shit.

I'm sure there's some absolutely crucially important reason that a Democratic Committee chairman has backed off yet another threat to hold the lawbreakers accountable.

Hillary, would you please give the Honorable Mr. Conyers a call, he needs to borrow yours.
