Okay, okay. Exactly how many Americans don't have electricity as of now?
"As of Tuesday, the Ohio Emergency Management Agency said 1.4 million customers still had no electricity."

Paying customers or people in households? So between the Ohio, Kentucky, Texas, Louisiana--and wasn't Arkansas effected?--how many Americans is that? Are we in the range of 3 million households or 3 million people? And if it's 3 million households is that more like 9 million people?

4. Approximately 78,000 still without power in greater Pittsburgh area and surrounding counties.
This is down from around 200,000 at the height of the storm. Initially they were saying that everyone would be back online by midnight tonight, now I'm hearing that it may be Friday until everything gets back to normal.

6. It sounds like 1 out of every 30-40 or so Americans may be without power.
I just find it strange that no one in the MSM is adding up these figures. That's a lot of folks in the dark with rotting food.

7. Just got mine back
Reynoldsburg Ohio.........power came back on about an hour ago. Been off since 2:00 PM Sunday. First thing I did, of course, was run to the "tubes" to see what Palin has been doing for the past 3 days.................
Thanks to our neighbors all helping each other, we got cleaned up quickly. One great guy even hooked 4 of us up to his generator so we could plug in our refrig. One home destroyed by a big tree, but no one home at time. I have a huge tree in my yard, but missed my house.
Can't believe we had a hurricane here in central Ohio.
BTW..........my other home is in New Orleans. I think Mother Nature has it in for me.

8. 1.6 million for Centerpoint in Houston, 350k for Entergy N. of Houston.
I have no idea how many for MXTN or whatever it is south of Houston (probably not just a huge number), and no clue about anything east of Galveston Bay to the Louisiana border and beyond.

So call it 2.3 million for the area N. of Houston to Galveston, and remember those are billing names. Some are businesses, some are families, some are single people.

The numbers are probably like Karachi on a typical summer day, overall. Except that for us, it's after a natural disaster or three, spread over a city, and temporary--the numbers here fall by a hundred thousand or more per day, and should drop a bit more quickly over the next 10 days before slowing up a lot (and I do mean *a lot*).

For the Balochis, it's just one city, and SOP.
