Poll question: A mysterious lawyer has joined the Troopergate coverup, who could it be!?
Edited on Tue Sep-16-08 07:15 PM by ColbertWatcher
Another DUer posted about the McCain campaign lawyering up to prolong the Troopergate coverup until after the election.

One lawyer, Edward O'Callaghan, was named, but the other wasn't identified?

Who do you think it is?

3. Ha! I HOPE it's Alberto Gonzales, cause "he can't recall" NUTHIN'
A lot of help he'd be! (not) He just digs the whole 'hole' deeper.

Oh wait, some of us expect/demand truth, honesty, transparency......and THIS AG (Alberto Gonzales/(former) Attorney General) just will make the whole game take longer to reveal its evil/malicious fruits....

....maybe that's the 'plan'? Stalling for more time (say 124 more days or so?)

14. Yes. Olson also defended Reagan during Iran/Contra
He's back in private practice now, after having served as Solicitor General in the Chimp's empire. Olson is as slippery as they come.

If a Bush minion is working on McCain's stonewall activities, I can understand why they'd be shy about releasing his name. This would have the scent of chimp all over it, especially reminiscent of famous chimp tactics.

17. So, Olson defended Reagan during Iran/Contra?
I didn't know that. Olson must have been a fairly 'young buck' way back then. Favors/chips to be 'called in'.....YEARS later....

Thanks for adding another piece to the puzzle.

22. He was Assistant Attorney General under Reagan - he's 68 years old
I don't know if he's the lawyer who's been called in. But he's one of the legal hitmen in the Republican Party.
