Tryst turns into $50K robbery for RNC delegate
Source: Associated Press

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Police are trying to find a woman who apparently drugged a Republican National Convention delegate and robbed him of about $50,000 worth of jewelry, cash and other items in his hotel room.

Gabriel Schwartz, a Denver attorney and party donor, told police he met the woman in a bar at the luxurious Hotel Ivy in downtown Minneapolis and invited her to his room early on Sept. 4, a few hours after Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin accepted the GOP vice presidential nomination.

Once there, police say, the woman made drinks and told Schwartz to get undressed.

The 29-year-old delegate told police that was the last thing he remembered. Police believe he was drugged but aren't sure what drug he was given, police Sgt. William Palmer said Tuesday.

5. "We should plant a flag: take the oil, take the money. We deserve
reimbursement." OMG he's got all the answers!! In snappy one-liners!!

I bet the thief decided she deserved reimbursement by the time they got back to his room. I wonder if the guy's being truthful about the value of the stuff she took.

4. If she "told" him "to get undressed"

Then I doubt it was just a "woman" he met at a bar. Someone was out picking up ladies of the night.

Although he says "As a single man, I was flattered by the attention of a beautiful woman who introduced herself to me."

8. This article says it was $120K. $50K from the watch and ring alone. What a putz.

The link TV spot is chilling. "Bomb Iran.... Simple." This is the kind of person that lawyer jokes are about and the kind of American that shames this country. And with $50,000 on his person (or possibly on one hand), he's not the guy who joins the armed services because there's no work at home. Yup, he wants a fair shake for the middle class. This fine patriot is all about Change.

16. Gee, would you folks be chortling if this had happened in Denver?
No, you wouldn't, and you shouldn't be doing so on this one either. Ignore the fact that this guy is a 'pug. The fact of the matter is some guy got drugged and robbed, and frankly that's wrong, no matter who the victim is.

Oh, and if the victim had been a Dem in Denver, you know that the freepers would have been yukkin' it up too. Way to stoop to their level.

18. He wasn't about to practice abstinence
Where are his repub values? He wasn't going to talk her into voting for McCain.

How come he didn't marry the girl before going up to his room. Isn't that part of their platform? Abstinence, no premarital sex.
