"I shouted out, 'who killed the economy'?, when after all, it was you and me"
I've heard several so called experts say that Americans are really at fault for the lousy economy, we are too reliant on credit cards, and we dabbled too heavily in stock trading, buying houses we can't afford, and we need to curb our spending habits, pull ourselves up by our bootstraps bla bla bla. They are very subtle when they say it, but they seem to be inferring that this is not all their fault, but that we share the blame in the economic disasters we are currently witnessing.

Aren't you ashamed of yourselves you broke ass whiny Americans? Why can't you just save up a few billion bucks for hard times like everybody else does? Why don't you just borrow on your seven houses like we do?

Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and fame....

2. Are you seriously suggesting that Americans are not ridiculously indebted?
The typical American consumers have no problem eagerly doing whatever it takes to live beyond their means.

That's not the only problem, but it contributes.

3. Not seriously, no.
They are, and I went through that bullshit for a while, but I live within my means these days, which is on the one paycheck away from the streets economy.

4. And the typical American investor is the penultimate example of this.
And that's why they need to STFU. The derivatives market is the epitome of this.

this, by allowing them to spend money on frivolous shit, "creating jobs", and just throwing money away ...
