HELP!!! My house is on fire! I need a commission to study the crisis! |
|
At least half of my house is burnt to a crisp! My children have no home now! The flames are raging all around me! QUICK--somebody form a panel! Somebody call some bureaucrats to form a commission to study the crisis!
I figure it will only take 6 months or so to form the commission, and then the actual studying and final report will come a few months later, but this is an EMERGENCY, my pets are trapped in the garage, there's thick black noxious smoke everywhere, and I have NO CHOICE but to form a fucking commission to study the fucking crisis!!!
HELP I TELL YOU, HELP!!!!!

3. I suggest you run for president. You have the qualifications and the public will be totally |
|
unaware that you actually helped start the fire!

8. The GOP uses study groups, commisions ...during a campaign .... to put the |
|
issue on the back burner or make it seem somehow less urgent. That way they can say: "it is being studied". It lets them avoid the crisis to their campaign. And just like the Iraq study group the findings will be ignored if they ever went through with it. It is purely a stop gap meansure to calm voters down during a crisis in the middle of an election.
