Are you happy with the Obama campaign? |
|
I keep hearing on the teevee nooz that 'liberal groups' are unhappy with the Obama campaign's performance.
Are you, personally unhappy with it?
BIG NOTE: This is ***not*** about the candidate. It is about the 'inside baseball' of the campaign. And I'm not trying to pick a fight. I *am* trying to get us to discuss an issue - and maybe even whether it is or isn't 'an issue'.

I'm tired of people who refuse to get it and take the appropriate action to get the media to report accurately.

3. Yes. I adore the 2 minute address on the economy. Though I haven't seen a single TV ad for Obama |

He seems to have done some unprecedented things, so it would be silly for anyone to be completely unhappy with their performance.
However, I get frustrated when he, Biden and the rest of the dems seem to be playing defense all the time. I loved Obama's commercial from today on the economy... that's them getting back to playing offense, and I think it's important.
I see the RNC bump of the polls has essentially gone away, so it's almost as if the conventions never happened... we're back to a statistical tie. I think where we go from here will be much more important than where we've been.

6. I'm happier with it than Kerry's or Gore's campaign. |
|
I think it could be even better, and I'm worried that it's not good enough. But when they're on, they're on.

16. I agree with your sentiment. |

Obama is at least going out of his way to actively refute any baseless attack the McCain campaign throws his way.

7. I'm assuming you want a sincere answer |
|
I have a lot of frustration with the local campaign here. You can't get bumperstickers or yard signs or buttons. People are working hard and doing their best but the organizers lack experience in really getting things going.
This won't change my willingness to work on the campaign, however.

10. Yes, I want sincere answers ...... |

..... yours sounds like a local issue. I have a question ..... the 'organizers' to whom you refer. Are these paid campaign staff or volunteers?
I have heard the campaign has a huge number of paid staff all across the country. But I don't know for sure.

11. After thinking about it, I didn't vote for him so it's not really for me to say. |
|
I've commented on both good and bad from the campaign but after thinking about it, I don't really think that's proper. I'll leave that to his primary supporters.

14. I'm not happy with it. |

I think they have made several mistakes along the way, and instead of being a blowout election due to the times, it is basically a neck-and-neck race. That's unacceptable. There should be no chance of us losing this election. I know we are a nation divided, but we aren't THAT divided. Most of us recognize the poor shape the country is in. It's really outrageous to think that the same party that has been in power during all of this mess, might get elected again. How does that happen, unless you have fundamental flaws in the campaign you are running? Sure, Obama won't pick up the ~30% "backwash" vote, but considering the state our country is in, there is no reason for him to being polling below 50%. He should be easily 50%-60%, and this election should not be contested.

15. It's Getting Better All The Time. |
|
I've gotten frustrated with their refusal to strike back hard in the past - but they have kicked it up considerably over the last week. I believe that they know exactly what they're doing - and have been holding off on their biggest ammunition until closer to the elections, when it would really count. I expect to see their attacks become even more effective and harder-hitting as we get closer to November.
My biggest frustration right now: I still want to see them - or Planned Parenthood or Move On or SOMEONE - use the fact that Palin allowed her town to charge rape victims for rape kits while she was mayor in an advertisement. That is the best ammo we have to get women back on Obama's side once and for all. I don't understand why they haven't used that one yet.

17. I hope that's the case. |

I've heard that before, that they are "saving up" and are gonna unload as the election nears. I hope that's the case, but I'm gonna wait and see.
It seems like they are making the same sort of mistakes that our previous candidates made.

People want to win really really badly. When the Media spins it as all tied up people get very nervous and start throwing out blame. Obama is doing excellent and I am sure will win handily.
