A very disgusting ad on Olbermann |
|
I just saw an "Pro-Surge in Iraq" ad on, of all programs, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, by some lying bastard group called "Let's Go Freedom".
What the F*ck? All of a sudden pro-war, pro-republican ads showed up on Olbermann.

WTF? I missed the whole point, but got that they were selling FEAR at the end when they said tell "Senator Obama" blah blah. I looked up and saw the weird, threatening pallet for the type and thought, "oh, whatever...go away."
;-) wasted money, "my friends".

(If we saw the same ad.) Right.

I know it's probably a national ad, but it's funny to see these suckers broadcast in Oakland, CA. Usually Comcast has more targeted ads. Oh well, wasted their money, they have.

Yeah, Olbermann watchers are really going to buy that.
I think the way advertising works is a company or organization buys airtime for a certain block--say, 8 p.m. to midnight. If they bought it for that time on MSNBC, they were wasting their fucking money, as it's Olbermann-Maddow-Olbermann-Maddow. I think.
If they bought it from a cable company--and I doubt it, as I don't think all of us have Scumcast--then I think they buy airtime during a certain time, but the cable company picks the exact time and the station.
If I'm wrong, please correct me.

they may have made the buy for 5am to midnight or an even wider range of time periods. If they didn't make a buy that specified a specific slot, that may just be where the spot engine in the traffic program placed it.

To the bill LIEberman wants to put before the Senate to acknowledge that the surge has worked.
Utter waste of time and there needs to be a commercial explaining that yes, the Military objective has been met, but there has been no political progress which was the whole point of the surge to begin with.
It also has to be laid out to the brain dead surgeaholics that we are bribing Sunni insurgents hundreds of thousands of dollars NOT to fight us over there and that if Muqtada al-Sadr calls off the truce that he has been agreeing to, then all hell will break loose as it did the last time he broke the truce

17. I swear, some Senators should be banned from creating bills during an election cycle. |
|
If I was a Senator trying to get some serious work done for my constituents, this type of stuff would piss me off. Some wise politician warned me about the "silly season" of politics. He was right.

It was a 527 ad, wedged between two other national ads, so it wasn't a local buy. They just bought time on MSNBC--like those idiots with the ad in which the girl born after a botched abortion pleads with Obama not to force poor widdle babies like herself to die.

16. It's Vets For Freedom. They also had |

that commercial with the different soldiers saying, "I am the surge." one after the other. Also, this is the group that made that comment about how the Democrats could have their Tiger Woods because they have John McCain when they endorsed McCain back in the spring.
