Their manipulative tactics aren't working, anymore, AND THEY KNOW IT (the power-mongering fascists,...do they even acknowledge what they have become,...NOT NOT NOT).

That doesn't mean they will give up their ideologies any more than any addict.
BUT, they have been PROVEN WRONG!

That's all that matters.

Over time, in spite of the neocon's battle and outright WAR against human progression, a greater democracy will not only survive but, ARRIVE.

1. The problem is

that it really doesn't matter. These people are organically incapable of admitting error, and they'll crow that they were right, honestly believing it, until we're all dead.

I wish I could join with you in your firm belief that our democracy will survive, but, as a veteran of the Watergate era, I am just not as optimistic as you. That these powerful people were wrong is meaningless; fixing what they've done, well, that's a whole different matter, and, honestly, I am no longer confident that we can be fixed.

Clang, clong, clunk...oh, well grammar nazis, we aren't. The bastids were wrong and are wrong and they'll never admit it. That really makes me mad, too. It reminds me of when I was too poor to afford a hair cut back in the 80's. I let a close friend cut my hair and she razor cut all the old perm off and left me with about 2 inches on the top and a mullet in the back. I should have refused to ever speak to her again, but she was one of the most intelligent and interesting people I have ever known. The smart ass would never say she was sorry. That made me the most angry of all. Yes, my fellow Americans, we got fucked with out a kiss, and the rapists will never apologize or go to jail. But they were wrang. ;)
