How can you be effective at any level of vindictiveness at the gubernatorial level without some brain power? How can you be ruthless without the ability to think through the best way to crush your enemies?

She's myopic, parochial, isolationist, ultra-conservative and has a very narrow way of interpreting the Bible. But she's not stupid.

Keep in mind that she is also frighteningly manipulative and a relatively artful liar. Women who use sex appeal to get what they want and con men into ignoring their shortcomings and lies are NOT stupid.
