Does McCain want to lose Orange County, CA?
Forget "the O.C." this is the most Republican county in the country with fat check books (well, perhaps not much these days). This is the place where every national candidate stops first for a generous fund raising events. Come to think of it, in 2000, George Argyros who raised $50 million for Bush was rewarded with a disastrous ambassadorship to Spain.

The head of the SEC, Chris Cox, that McCain would like to fire was a beloved Congressman from that area so I wonder how the Republicans there would view McCain now..

3. Yes, but carrying Orange County on a very slim margin
as Clinton did in 1992 would be embarrassing to them.

4. I just posted last night about OC...
I have been preparing myself for the bumper stickers and yard signs I know I'd be seeing, but I have only seen one (funny, it was in Laguna Beach). I have seen 5 Obama signs in the last few days. This is wonderfully surprising. At the Orange Plaza the other night I saw something truly fabulous..."Republicans for Obama" on a car.

OC is changing slowly but surely, but do I dare risk an Obama sign in my yard? The last time I tried it (Clinton/Gore), my house got egged.

5. Depends on the neighborhood
Laguna Beach, of course, is the most liberal community in the county.

Good luck!

6. One McCain sign in Laguna Beach? Must have been Heidi Montag's
since she's a well-known McCain supporter from that area.

Loretta Sanchez represents part of OC along with the wingnuts.

11. I saw one McCain sticker
Getting on the 5 at Bake.

Have two Obama signs on order, one for a back up. My wife told me there is a McCain sign a block down. Neighbor across the street has Obama sign on order. (they are solid dems) Have one Saddleback employee almost convinced to vote for Obama. One ex Saddleback employee down the street is now wearing an Obama Hope t-shirt.

7. I live in the red heart of the OC and I am seeing more Pro- Obama
bumper stickers and Obama stickers than I am seeing "NObama" and McLame bumper stickers. It is encouraging.
