Neoconservatives plan Project Sarah Palin to shape future American foreign policy
Neoconservatives whose influence had been waning in Washington have hitched their colours to rising star Sarah Palin in a bid to shape US foreign policy for another decade.

By Tim Shipman in Wasilla, Alaska
Last Updated: 6:52PM BST 16 Sep 2008

Comments by the governor of Alaska in her first television interview, in which she said Nato may have to go to war with Russia and took a tough line on Iran's nuclear programme, were the result of two weeks of briefings by neoconservatives.

Sources in the McCain camp, the Republican Party and Washington think tanks say Mrs Palin was identified as a potential future leader of the neoconservative cause in June 2007. That was when the annual summer cruise organised by the right-of-centre Weekly Standard magazine docked in Juneau, the Alaskan state capital, and the pundits on board took tea with Governor Palin.

1. OMIGAWD!!! I don't even want to think what this country would become...

2. This vapid, vacuous woman would be worse than Cheney
At least with Cheney there is some intellectual honesty in that he actually believes all that neocon crap, and Cheney is not a dummy.

I don't think Palin has any kind of foreign policy ideology at all.

3. Don't believe it.
She is a biblical end-timer. Her "policy" would be for there to be a earth ending war in Israel. Likely "nukular".

The neocons hope to use her and only have a limited exchange with Iran and other Islamic nations (Pakistan comes to mind). And after Jeebus DOESN'T appear in the clouds, they will move to expand Israel's borders and we take over all ME oil deposits.

15. Well, she'd really be another Bush ...
... since she won't have the powers that Cheney currently does as VP. She'll ascend to full Bushian status when McCain croaks, and then she'll appoint her own Cheney -- if not Cheney, himself. She'd be the frontman for the neo-cons, just as Bush has been.

Sorta brings to mind the phrase, "the banality of evil", doesn't it?

5. Obvious from the get-go that she was picked to be the
next Bush - a none-too-bright, easily manipulated pawn. They are counting on a McCain win as well as a McCain early demise, which they may well be planning to hasten. I woudn't put anything past these bastards.

8. The fucking PNAC has RUINED the USA!!! McCain is EVERY bit a PNAC tool Bush was!
Don't be fooled.. McCain's absolute blind ambition and failing faculties makes him a prime candidate to be used by PNAC to further their march on the world.. next? Iran, then Syria, then.... ??? McCain has no problem being used by the PNAC to further his ambitions, just to satisfy his fragile ego. Palin definitely is ANOTHER puppet, and WORSE than Cheney because she is a religious extremist.

We cannot let them win.. we cannot.

10. "Should this ticket win, Palin will eclipse...
every other Republican as heir apparent to the presidency and will have her own power base, wholly independent of President McCain."

I say, Dream on assholes. It just means after Obama wins, we have to be ever more vigilant of the neandercons. They are resolute in their ambition and so are we!

12. I never watch Fox
but I read the Sunday Morning Roundups by Jason Linkins on the Huffington Post, and I remember reading for months about how Kritstol would name drop Palin for VP and like, make leering comments about her, on Fox Sunday morning.

17. Leader? - Snicker - more like mascot
Sarah Palin will never be a LEADER at anything. They'll be lucky if she can spit out the talking points for the next decade without devolving into a massive toddler fit right on camera. GWB looks like a Rhodes Scholar by comparison.
