Do you have a Bible question for "Liberty Gospel"? Ask it here..but only if you are male.
If you have a question you would like answered from the Bible, please fill out the form below.

If you would like to see our archive of answered questions, click here.

Note For Women: If you are married, we must biblically direct you to your husband first. I Corinthians 14:35 deals with women having questions in church, and instructs them to ask their husbands at home. If your husband does not know the answer, you might encourage him to write to us here. The Bible also instructs the older women to teach the younger women, in Titus 2:3,4. If you write to us with a question, we will pass it along to one of our ladies here, who will help you to find the answer from the Bible.

4. laugh now, but cry later
Palin will bring this crap to the nation if elected. She is a christian reconstructionist who supports Buchanan. This means that they strive to implement old testament law in order to reconstruct God's kingdom on earth today. Oh yes, and only Christians should be promoted at work and they should control all branches of government, all institutions, all organizations, and the media. Actually, their stated goal is a bit larger; they believe that only christians should be in control of everything. This is reconstruction is "necessary" to precipitate the return of Christ.

On 9-8-08, Buchanan called Obama "one of them" and Palin "one of us" in the title of his editorial. He means exactly what he says. Prudence pays attention when a political candidate is a Dominionist.

5. If that's the case...
She should know better than to run for Vice-President. After all, she can't have dominion over man. Nor can she teach.

Unless that's what the Republicans wanted her for. To sit in the White House and bake cookies?

21. Hitler was vice-Chancelor and succeeded through death
Mc Cain is 72 years old. Imagine that!

Politics is largely opportunity. I believe the bible thumpers will look the other way if Sarah is capable of delivering the goods. Pat Buchanan will guide her in the more advanced ways of the Lord, so you don't have to worry.

This is from a different thread started by bluebear. I think you will see how the philosophy of dominionism plays out in local communities. Google Dominion and Christian Reconstructionist for more information. Without further ado, here is the other post:

...Bess was not the only man in the room who has had firsthand knowledge of how Palin’s evangelical views color her world view and therefore, potentially, her policy-making decisions. Phil Munger, our host and author of the Progressive Alaska blog is also a noted local musician and has had many dealings with Sarah Palin in the past.

says that Palin also helped push the evangelical drive to take over the Mat-Su Borough school board. “She wanted to get people who believed in creationism on the board,” said Munger, a music composer and teacher. “I bumped into her once after my band played at a graduation ceremony at the Assembly of God. I said, ‘Sarah, how can you believe in creationism — your father’s a science teacher.’ And she said, ‘We don’t have to agree on everything.’

“I pushed her on the earth’s creation, whether it was really less than 7,000 years old and whether dinosaurs and humans walked the earth at the same time. And she said yes, she’d seen images somewhere of dinosaur fossils with human footprints in them.”

Munger also asked Palin if she truly believed in the End of Days, the doomsday scenario when the Messiah will return. “She looked in my eyes and said, ‘Yes, I think I will see Jesus come back to earth in my lifetime.’”

His writings add nothing to the Gospel.

Just like anyone else, Paul wrote a lot of helpful things and a lot of useless things. Why his work is considered divinely inspired is beyond me.

13. lol. well
Paul is schidzoid to me. He can be really wonderful... "Love is patient, love is kind.."

OTOH, he, or his ghostwriters came out with whoppers like "be in the world but not of the world." :wtf: The older I get, the less sense this makes to me and it didn't make much to start with.

16. Well, not everything yields to simple analysis
And being "in" the world but not "of" or "like" the world can be interpreted to mean that we're to have concern for our fellow human beings, but not participate in or endorse the system that oppresses them. Now, what that means in a practical, day-to-day sense is one of the things I work out with my fellow church-goers each week. We'll probably never come out to a definitive, final answer, but maybe that's not the point.

20. Here's where I'm coming from
I agree with you that ... we're to have concern for our fellow human beings, but not participate in or endorse the system that oppresses them.... is pretty much what this saying means.

For myself, this saying of Paul's seems to be one that people too often have taken to mean that they have cover to separate themselves from the larger community and not interact with people, except from a removed, holier-than-thou place.

19. Jesus already covered that.
I feel Paul's net result has been to obscure and confuse the issue.

But, that's just me.

8. What size rocks are appropriate for stoning disobedient children?
Should I use large rocks, and try to crush their temples in just a few throws? Or should I prolong it with smaller rocks and give them time to repent of their sins?

14. On Voting
Someone should ask them who to vote for in this election because you are "struggling with your decision and want to know what would Jesus do". If they answer directly they should lose their non-tax status.
