THE most apt description of palin I have read yet...
"Maureen Dowd recently visited Sarah Palin-ville and, in this must-read New York Times Op-Ed, paints a portrait of Palin as a strip-mall-loving, gun-toting, fossil-fuel-burning, Pentecostal, gay-hating Barbie doll. Said one Alaskan in the article, “It’s taking us back to junior high school. She’s one of the popular girls, but one of the mean girls.” Not to mention a former beauty pageantress."

2. Sounds like the south but without the literature and music...
or even the veneer of gentility.
Sorry, but Alaska just seems like racist ignorant white trash ground zero

4. Oooooh. That's really mean.
Even if accurate.

I'm reminded of my favorite description of Phoenix: Los Angeles, without the charm or the ocean.
