1. It seems the meme is to blame this on poor (read Black)people |
|
because the banks and mortgage lenders were "forced" to lend to them to avoid charges of red-lining, these RW bastards can't stoop any lower.

2. Good Thing Clinton's Not Running |
|
I mean, really. Yes, there were moves Clinton made that contributed to this mess. He kept Greenspan as Fed Chairman. Greenspan was pushing for all this deregulation. Clinton also signed that darn banking bill McCain's recently departed economic adviser sponsored. The thing is, when Clinton signed that bill he was acting like a Republican. That was one of those moderate, "third way" sort of decisions.
So, the lesson seems pretty clear. When Democrats act like Republicans, the country loses.

3. Clinton did what the repubs wanted |
|
repubs wanted deregulation and they got it
glad to see they now want MORE regulation, MORE oversight, MORE accountability -- Now we can get rid of the reagan-bush-bush-mccain trickle-down economic policies and all that crap of "letting the markets take care of it"

4. The repubs only want these things |
|
because they think it will help them get elected. They will revert to their old ways after election day because above all else, their are repubs. I don't buy it for a second.
