The merging of government and corporate power. Besides the fact that they are now officially merged, the corporations can now also become completely politicized.

This is disaster capitalism. It is being sold as a way to save our financial system, but in reality it is nothing more complicated than the most massive redistribution of wealth from the bottom since the same scam known as the S&L crisis. The underlying assets that have been devalued will be reclaimed at garage sale prices by a small(er) group of owners.

This is the final soaking of the last drops of wealth that the middle class had before the bubble cannot be artificially inflated any more.

7. There's good reason to worry. What the Dems do right now in this
emergency session to negotiate a bailout will be very telling. I don't expect much opposition.

11. According to the pigmen, this bailout will restore confidence in
the system of credit and will get the wheels of commerce and growth rolling again and foster economic growth. Will it really? Will banks now feel confident enough to make loans to each other and to individuals? If it will and does, are we off on a new time of economic growth?

Does anybody know what committee is involved in making the decision on this one?

15. An emergency session with congressional leaders is taking (about to take) place

I'm not even sure that it will go through a committee process. This is how government works when the worst rip-offs are taking place, under the cover of darkness and secrecy.

14. This is a gigantic ripoff... Fascism steps into broad daylight...
There is a group called "We The People" in NY that has filed a law suit to try and stop this. It may be futile with the MSM under complete control.. but it's worth a try. http://www.wethepeoplefoundation.org/PROJECTS/AIG/AIG-PressReleaseSept18-2008.pdf

Thinking ... Not to get tinfoil hat here, but remember back when Cynthia McKiney was investigationg the $3 Trillion that went missing from the Pentagon? Those documents along with Enron and WorldCom docs were stored in the SEC Office in WTC-7. Of course, when the building fell, all investigations stopped..(hmmmm..) Hope I'm wrong.. but wouldn't an October Surprise be just the ticket to get peole's minds off the banking crisis and back onto 'terra? I expect Chertoff to raise the Color-Code warning any day now.
