He also argued that the subpoena was "unduly burdensome" because of Todd Palin's travel schedule with his wife ahead of the election.

"His scheduling obligations over the next two months will make it virtually impossible for him to prepare for and present the testimony called for in the subpoena at the specified location during that time period," van Flein wrote in the letter, reproduced on the Alaska Daily News website.


Ummm... so next time I get called into court, can I just be like "Hey, sorry I'm busy."? Does that work?

And seriously... who the fuck wants to see Todd Palin anyway? He can stay home and testify, geez...

4. Hey, being the First Dude is an onerous job!
Not like being the President of the United States. After all, the Supreme Court ruled 9-0 that Bill Clinton could be called to testify and be deposed in Paula Jones' bullshit civil suit, because it wouldn't be too much of an imposition for the leader of the free world to have to answer claims of discrimination by a low-level government employee who received timely and appropriate job reviews, raises and promotions.
