Listening to Obama.
Edited on Fri Sep-19-08 11:05 AM by Wilber_Stool
He sounds shaken. I know what I saw. He was stuttering, seemed unsure of himself. Like he knew something that he couldn't reveal.
I like him too but but I'm not blind. There's something going on here that we're not being told about and he seems scared.

4. I think he sounds careful; he's not willing to stick his foot in his mouth
before he has all the facts at his disposal. I'm applauding his caution.

Listen to what he's saying.

He's thinking and watching what he's saying while pointing out that main street has been hurting too and the same attention should be given to other people. He pauses a lot when he's speaks as he always does nothing new. I know what I saw too. I still think that he's trying to be careful about what he's saying.Doesn't want it to be seem as partisan.

17. Yes I heard what he said.
But it sounded empty. Like he didn't believe it.

18. I wasn't watching him.
Edited on Fri Sep-19-08 12:23 PM by Wilber_Stool
I was listening to him. There is a big difference between watching and listening. So much that I left the kitchen to see what was going on when I noticed the tone of his voice.

14. that is not how I saw it...
He looked concerned, which is a totally rational reaction to this crisis...
He was thinking carefully before he spoke...he knows every word he utters is under a microscope
He was calm, clear minded, knowledgable.

16. Brilliant response.
Maybe it was because I wasn't watching that I heard the tone of his voice. He may have smoothed out as the questions continued but when he started, I could hear something was wrong.
