LIST OF QUESTIONS THAT MEDIA ARE AVOIDING THAT NEED TO BE ASKED |
|
I ask if you can think of a serious question that actually should be asked, please add to this list. Or if you can think of a way to rephrase any of the questions added to this list please include that also. I will start
Senator McCain: Given that you graduated fifth from the bottom of your class from Annapolis, which would disqualify you from attaining a Fighter Pilot's License, how did you overcome that?
Governor Palin: You have said many times in your speeches that you can see Russia from your kitchen in Alaska. Given the location of your home and the 17 mile curvature of the earth in viewing land, what exactly and specifically are you referring to?
Governor Palin: Please explain your College Degree, what was your GPA, classes taken, reasons for attending the amount of learning institutions attain the four year Degree in Journalism, and if you graduated as well as their relationship to the issue of "preparedness" to lead the Nation should Senator McCain not be able to fulfill even the first year in office. Please elaborate also on how your Degree in Journalism makes you best suited for office.
Governor Palin: Did you have an affair? Some sources claim that you did have a brief affair.
Senator McCain: Could you please explain your lack of support for POWs in your voting record? Why would you not wish to support POWs since you hold your own personal experience as one reason that you should be President.
Senator McCain: Would you be willing to release your medical records for viewing to a group of impartial Physicians and others so that they can be examined in a longer time frame given the concerns about your age. As we know, it is a fact of life, however unpleasant to talk about, that mental and physical abilities decline with age.

2. Sarah Palin didn't say the she can see Russia from her house. |
|
Tina Fey portraying Sarah Palin said that.
Sarah Palin did imply that it helps her to understand foreign policy that there is an island in Alaska with a view of Russia.

3. Senator McCain, you've called Social Security "a disgrace"... |
|
... and have repeatedly supported plans to privatize the Social Security system. Can you tell us more about your plans for Social Security if you are elected President?

and in defense of the age of the Earth question, there actually might be an advantage to ask a simple question, perhaps not that one.

4. No on Affair and Medical Records questions |
|
I would ask: The Repubs recently had a nice run of having a R Pres, a R Senate, and a R House. Can you explain to the people what the R party accomplished in that time frame to improve the lives of the American People.

9. Yes on the medical records. His pick of Palin makes it even more important. |
|
Maybe the MOST important considering what we do know. And the fact that he only allowed reporters a few hours with no real means of documenting or researching what they saw at the time begs the question, what is he hiding/hoping they won't notice?

I always come back to the fact that Clinton never released his, a decision which I supported at the time. Medical records are so personal. I wouldn't mind an affidavit from a respected doctor saying McCain's health is fine.

You and every other Republican Senator voted for the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act that deregulated the financial sector and greatly contributed to the current financial crisis. Why should the American people now trust you to correct the problems?
Also, the Cowboy Diplomacy of the Bush administration has alienated our allies and provoked our enemies. Is a "Maverick" really all that different that a "Cowboy"?

The question is about rules governing how one attains a Fighter Pilot's license. This is part of the resume. If Senator McCain did not fall within the guidelines for attaining one, how did he overcome said guidelines. This is also a question of leadership, honesty and possibly privilege.

it worked so well with the National Guard story 4 years ago. lol
Just curious -- what statute or rule are you referring to about not being able to get a fighter pilot license being that low in the class? I've not heard of that.

15. Don't know if a statute specifically |
|
but at least back around 40 yrs. ago, those were the rules. Probably could be found in the book from the Navy regarding guidelines. Now I am not of the age to remember that specifically but it was a fairly discussed issue a couple of years back. Then it just kinda died.
