7. So AIG paid around $4 billion in taxes in 2007? |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-19-08 12:52 PM by Th1onein
Is that correct?
On their 2007 financials, I'm seeing a "net income" of $6200.00. That means that they paid very little in taxes. How much in taxes would they have paid on that $6200.00

8. The numbers are in millions. |
|
"(in millions, except per share data)"
So that 6200 = 6200 x 1,000,000 = $6,200,000,000. But that's gross unadjusted income, and what they're taxed on was far lower.

AIG has 250 subsidiaries... there no way to get a true picture of their tax exposure .
