It has elements of it... but it also has elements of we don't know what to do next.

IF you see EO 51 implemented...WORRY

But it looks more like they have no clue what to do next and if this works we need to demand a return on our collective investment

Now if they are going chicago...currency controls are next

2. The infusion of cash will devalue the US Dollar.
They are also using our gold reserves as collateral. To establish the dollar, which may come next in really loosing value they will need to impose austerity measures. A Classic are currency controls, where worst case you cannot get more than a certain ammounnt out of the bank, or buy foreign currency

But today has a feel of even worst panic to me

4. Thanks for the reply. :) I don't have cable & was watching/listening to the Today
show this morning, but they are back to the "everything's great, everything's fine" attitude which I don't believe for a minute.

I've been feeling anxious all week and now feel worse after seeing your thread and these two:

15. You have *EVERY*
reason to feel anxious - there is no way we should be feeling good about what's going on. One more example of why NOT to watch the news.

22. I suggest you pick a copy of Naomi Klein's book Disaster Capitalism
and google up Executive Order 51

Essentially Martial Law, and economic meltdown falls under it

5. I vote for shit creek breaking through the levees PANIC!!!
They are so attached to their beloved market numbers they will devalue the information value of prices. What happens next is anybody's guess. Yeah, maybe they keep the market numbers from plunging, but those market numbers won't mean as much. What do investors actually own, and what actual value does it have? Who knows? But at least the Dow isn't plunging below 10,000 right?

10. Yep, simply the declaration of a suspicion makes any person subject to
seizure of any and all assets. This is why we've been screaming for so long.

National Guard in Iraq. Infantry in America.

This refers to the recent article in the Army Times (Sept. 8th). The Northcom Infantry will be on land Oct. 1st.
