Anyone remember the scene in "Bowling for Columbine" ... |
|
... when Michael Moore asks the "COPS" producer why they don't make a movie about going after white collar criminals? And the guy says it wouldn't be as exciting as when the cops chase some poor shirtless guy and tackle him?
I wonder if someone could make that show now and what it would look like?

1. Jay Gould, Chief Financial Office of Erie Railroad |
|
was ousted by stockholders after years of massive corruption. However, he still had to be served a warrant for it to be official.
The NYC police entered his building to find he had locked himself in his office. They broke down the door only to find he had left through another door and locked that. This continued through a number of broken doors until he was finally trapped and served.
Now THAT was a white-collar raid worth getting on film.

And no club fed either. Real prison (Med or High) and time based on the same fiscal amount had it been stolen from a bank.

4. You can garantee the perp wouldn't be calmly calling his lawyer |
|
He'd be flipping out.
Once of the reasons why these guys don't flip out is because they know they will not be in danger in that cushy white collar prison.
Not that I advocate rape in prison (or any form of rape mind you!) but literally their asses would be on the line...

6. So true, they believe their wealth shields them from all accountability. |
|
In fact I doubt many of them fear jail because they buy lawyers who are adept at stalling, take the Troopwegate coverup for instance.
